Tecomate Seed - Greenfield
by Tecomate Wildlife Systems

Unsurpassed Fall “Hunting Plot” Mix
imageFast-growing, highly attractive annual mix for “hunting plots.” Greenfield jumps out of the ground and sucks in the bucks! This professional-grade mix produces tons of fall and winter forage for deer! Loaded with all-time fall favorites – wheat, triticale, clover, winter peas and two specially selected brassicas, the sensational rape/turnip hybrid, Tecomate T-Raptor, and our own unmatched forage Barkant Turnip, both of which produce great forage AND highly preferred bulbs. Best of all, these two special brassicas reach peak attraction during hunting season, when “frost-curing” causes the plant’s sugar content and palatability to significantly increase and when the sugar-laden bulbs mature. The cereal grains, clover and peas draw the bucks in early and keep on producing top quality forage right on into the spring. Greenfield Pro is very cost effective since ONE BAG PLANTS AN ENTIRE ACRE. Ideal for small and large food plots and can take the heaviest grazing pressure. Recommended NATIONWIDE.

Planting Instructions
●Select a sunny site and thoroughly plow/disk soil until the seedbed is clean, level and firm.
●Though not always required for good food plots, proper fertilizing and liming will significantly increase the production, attraction and nutritional value of plots. Tecomate recommends soil-testing and then fertilizing and liming as needed. Generally, we recommend liming if the pH is below 5.8 and fertilizing with a balanced mixture such as 13-13-13 at 250 pounds/acre.
●Broadcast or grain-drill to plant seeds 1/8 to 1/4-inch deep in moist soil at a rate of 40 lbs./acre. When broadcasting, cover seeds by either lightly dragging or cultipacking. Avoid planting too deeply. Disking to cover seeds is NOT recommended. Begins attracting deer about 20 days after planting.

Recommended Planting Times:
Zone 1 (North) - July 15-Sept. 15
Zone 2 (Mid-America) - Aug. 15-Oct. 15
Zone 3 (South) - Sept. 1-Nov. 1
Zone 4 (Coastal South) - Sept. 15-Nov. 15
