Cultivation

Hebrews 6:7 –  7 For land that has drunk the rain that often falls on it, and produces a crop useful to those for whose sake it is cultivated, receives a blessing from God.

We as hunters and land managers are deeply rooted in our desire to cultivate the ground in which God has entrusted us. We disk, we plant, and we turn the ground under which helps produce fruit for the wildlife we pursue. God has given us the ability to take care of His creations by nurturing the land. Our cultivation practices benefit many wildlife species.

In many ways, the correlation between us and our heavenly Father is very similar. He is always preparing and cultivating our thoughts and actions and He turns them into our life lessons. Sometimes the fierce trials we face on this earth are to draw our attention back to Him. His plan is to simply draw us nearer to Him so we are completely dependent upon His cultivating practices. During those trials we may not see His plan immediately, but after we have pulled through, we can look back and see how He was at work in our souls to draw us closer to Him as we are fulfilled and nurtured.
