LBV Ranch – Webb County, TX (1/3/12 – 1/8/12)
Day 1: Morning Hunt
Videographer Matthew Carman and I arrived at the LBV Ranch headquarters yesterday in preparation for our Bucks of Tecomate hunt that started this morning. The 14,500-acre LBV Ranch is in Webb County, about 30 miles from the Rio Grande River and Mexico.
This morning we sat over a food plot where we watched 2 does feed for 30 min. Matthew spotted a fully mature 8-point buck trailing a doe off the plot in the distance. We also saw 2 more does and a fawn in the distance. No other deer visited the plot during the first hour of daylight.

Hunt Diary from Priest River, ID
Priest River, ID Hunt – Travel Day 11/13/11
I left Corpus Christi at 7:00 this morning, flew to Dallas, then to Seattle, then to Spokane. My rifle and baggage made it!
I met videographer JJ Slater in Spokane. We then drove across the river to Idaho, arriving at Priest River an hour later around 5:00 pm.
We met host Mike Gabba, my long time hunting, trapping, & fishing buddy since grade school. Mike and Anna gave us a quick tour while we reflected back on nearly 40 years of chasing critters in the great outdoors!

Dr. Mickey Hellickson’s Albany, TX whitetail hunt
Day 1 - November 5th
Noemi and I left Corpus Christi before 6:00 this morning to meet David Morris and videographer Matthew Carmen at David’s house outside San Antonio. After a quick tour of David’s jaw dropping collection of giant trophy Whitetails, we were off to Albany, TX to meet Justin Trail for another trophy whitetail hunt in Shackelford County.
