I would turn the soil lightly one more time.  When you start planting you will want to make sure there is plenty of contact between the soil and the seed. A lot of this will depend on the size of the seed you use.  Remember that the depth of the seed is important to the results.  You do not want to plant to shallow or deep or you will loose the effectiveness of the food plot.  A good rule of thumb is you want the seed to be the same depth as size. Example, corn would be deeper then wheat.  Small seeds literally can be dropped on the ground a lightly raked over or just let it rain on them.

Good luck!

the best way to do it is to spray with a full dose of both roundup and 24D, then wait for a good kill, harrow the soil deep. give it about 3weeks and if you have some weeds come up, then spray again with roundup. wait a week then add lime & fert. then lightly disc area. broadcast seed, cultipack and hope for some rain. the process is extensive but what is does is when you harrow after the first spray is it brings your dormant weed seeds up to the top so they can germinate. you kill them and there will be no more weeds in your food plots!!! best of luck and happy hunting!!!
