I have a small plot that has some clover coming up from last year.  More than I thought with the crap weather we had. (no rain).  I want to over seed this plot with buckbeans. There is also a lot of broadleaf weeds coming up.  Probable 50/ 50 clover weeds. If possible I would like to spray for the weeds and keep the clover then over seed. Is there any weed killer that I can use that will kill the broadleaf weeds not hurt the clover and allow me to over seed with buckbeans and not hurt the buckbean seeds? Just wondering...Thanks for any info

I read on the buckbeans page that the beans will tolerate small dosages of roundup.

Not sure if this is true or not, would be nice if it’s true, as I’m in the same boat as you (though I’m not quite as worryed about the clover and chicory), I just want to control the weeds (broadleaf and grasses). According to Ed Spin you can spray clovers with a low dosage of Round Up in spring and it will not hurt them (will stun them for a bit but they come back).

hopfuly some one can answer this for us…
