Hey fellas, I live in central IN. and have leased a great place to hunt. I would like to install my first ever food plot this coming spring and i’m not sure what direction to go. I’ve been doing some reading on different sites and it seems like there is a lot more to this than I expected. Some of my friends that hunt other places talk about waisting money on their plots because they cant get them to grow. We have a great population of deer on our property and other food sources such as corn and soy beans. Our buck population is good but we havent seen the trophy bucks we were hoping to. Not sure what to do next! Any suggestions would be greatly apperciated.

I used to think it was a waste of money until this year. I’ve done my share of wasteful planting. One thing I know now is you need to put down a lot of lime. I finally can say I succeeded this year with some really nice fall plots thanks to the info of these blogs. This spring I will attempt more. We have very sandy soil and im not sure what to plant. Any help from the Tecomate crew will be appreciated. LabLab or Buck Beans.
