Would like to know if anyone has planted a Monster Mix Food plot? How well it did and is it drought tolerant? I have planted a 1/4 acre Monster Mix Food plot in eastern central Georgia and the clover is coming up really well. I put an all purpose fertilizer 13-13-13 on it and it seems to be doing OK. This is only my second food plot ever and I was hoping to get some input from some of you long time food plotters. Any and all input will be appreciated. Forgot to mention the most important. I am trying to introduce my 11 yr. old daughter to hunting, land and wildlife management all the while of teaching myself. She wants to be a Wildlife Biologist so this is awesome for me. Thanks for any advise.

Monster Mix has been planted extensively in GA. It contains white clover, red clover and chicory. The Chicory is very drought tolerant.  White and red clovers will go dormant during periods of drought. Typically the clovers will come back when the weather breaks.
A few years ago during an extended spring drought in GA managers reported that fall established chicory saved them. They did not have enough moisture to establish summer annuals.
Also look for Yellow jacket coated Monster Mix. It contains a starch based substance that holds 500x its weight in water which aids establishment.
