Born and raised in North Dakota, Terry grew up hunting in the Midwest always having a passion for proper Quality Deer Management. After serving 10 years in the U.S. Army, he brought his family to Iowa to pursue specializing in Whitetail Deer Management. In 2000 Terry was involved in several studies with Domestic Elk in an attempt to maximize nutritional needs for both antler development as well as proper nutrition for healthy doe maintenance. The information has been invaluable and has allowed his management practice to focus on the fine details of what deer require.

Terry continues to stay involved in all aspects of Quality Deer Management. He is the President of the Mid Iowa QDMA Chapter, Board of Directors for the States TIP program (Turn in Poachers) and continues to conduct seminars around the Midwest.

He has been blessed with a great family. His son at the age of 9 has harvested 3 does in his young life and his daughter took her first doe when she was 8. “Having both my kids involved in this passion has taken the reward to a level never imagined. Most importantly I have a great wife that puts up with it all.”
