Mali hails from the great state of Maryland and he owns & operates Outdoor Essentials, a multi-faceted Land & Wildlife Management/Consulting Company on the famed Eastern Shore. He manages several thousand acres of privately owned real estate throughout the Shore and eastern Delaware. These areas harbor some of the finest waterfowl, turkey and deer hunting found in the North East United States. Mali’s passion is building nutritional and attraction programs for wildlife on these properties and he enjoys passing on this knowledge with his clients to educate them in becoming better Stewards of their lands. His expertise on Wildlife Management is the foundation of his company and the success is evident in the personal relationships he has built with his repeat clients over the years.
Mali is also an ITR for Plotmaster Systems out of Wrightsville, GA (Makers of The Plotmaster) and a distributor for various other Land Management companies with products relative to Land Management. He also hosts his own Land Management Podcast web site where he interviews companies, Land Managers and various habitat professionals from across the country and they discuss everything from products to food plot and Land Management how to. Additionally, each year Mali holds a open to the public hands-on Land Management & Food Plot Day on his farm in Maryland to further educate those interested in enhancing, preserving and protecting habitat for wildlife.
Mali has been an avid all around hunter for nearly 30 years and especially loves the challenge of Bow Hunting whitetail deer, particularly mature whitetail bucks. Over the years he has killed numerous record book bucks in his home state of Maryland and he also travels to his farm in Illinois where he has proven that a small tract of land can consistently produce mature whitetails if managed properly. Mali firmly believes that consistently killing mature bucks is simply not an accident and those that are willing to educate themselves & properly manage their lands will reap the rewards of patience.
The high quality Waterfowl hunting of the Chesapeake Bay region is responsible for building its historic reputation as a Waterfowl Mecca. In addition to deer & turkey hunting, Mali is also a serious Waterfowl Hunter and an accomplished World Class Decoy Carver. Nearly 30 years ago his passion for waterfowl sparked an interest in the art of wood carving and his decoys have earned ribbons in the prestigious Ward World Championships. Mali has been making decorative mantle decoys and custom gunning rigs for customers all over the country and some of his client list includes Hollywood Actors and past US Presidents. From deer hunting to waterfowl hunting….it’s easy to see that Mali has involved himself fully in everything outdoors and wildlife.
Mali’s life is dedicated to faith, his wife Brenda & and 2 beautiful children Victor and Sarah. Without the love and support of his family, his profession would only be a dream. They spend most of their time together fishing, crabbing and enjoying the outdoors.
